Clare Shann
Strategy & Collaborations Lead
Clare Shann is the Strategy and Strategic Collaborations Lead for Restacking the Odds (RSTO), where she leads strategy and planning and strategic collaborations including with our funders. Her professional experience spans population mental health, strategy, policy, implementation, evaluation and the translation of evidence into practice across government, research, philanthropy and the not-for-profit sector.
Prior to joining RSTO, Clare worked in senior leadership, strategy and advisory roles with Beyond Blue, the Movember Foundation, Deakin University and through her own consultancy, Shann Advisory. She has extensive experience working at the intersection of evidence, policy and practice, with a particular interest in strengthening systems, building effective partnerships and translating research into practical action that improves population health and wellbeing.
Clare holds a PhD from the University of Tasmania focused on leadership and workplace mental health, and an MBA from the University of Canberra. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology.
Restacking the Odds is a national initiative led by the Centre for Community Child Health at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute, in collaboration with Bain & Company and Social Ventures Australia.
