Julia Mayes

Implementation & Practice Lead

Julia Mayes is the Implementation and Practice Lead for Restacking the Odds (RSTO), overseeing local partnerships and the development of RSTOs test-and-learn approach. Her professional experience spans service design, systems reform and place-based practice across the UK and Australia.

Prior to joining RSTO, Julia worked in the Systems Impact team at CCCH leading place-based learning partnerships, and led implementation for MCRI's Melbourne Children's Campus Mental Health Strategy. She spent 12 years in the UK working across local and national government, the NHS, family justice and the not-for-profit sector, including establishing the National Centre for Family Hubs at the Anna Freud Centre and ten years at the NSPCC leading innovative relationship-based models for children and families in the early years. Julia is interested in the intersection between research, practice and policy, and multi-disciplinary approaches to improving outcomes for children and families.

Julia holds a Master of Public Policy and Management from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) from Swinburne University.
