The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to strategize and execute program initiatives. This includes adeptly identifying and coordinating interdependencies among various initiatives and workstreams, both internally and externally. As a natural leader, you should possess a robust talent for project coordination, delegation, and effective stakeholder management.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the RSTO team, encompassing our Research and Advocacy teams, Communications team, Finance and Legal team, Partnership team, and a diverse range of external vendors and stakeholders. These include technology vendors, evaluation partners, and those implementing RSTO initiatives. Your responsibilities will involve leading and coordinating the delivery of initiatives, as well as identifying, documenting, and mitigating key stakeholder risks and issues.

This position presents a unique opportunity on a 12-month contract with the potential for extension. The role is designed to accommodate a part-time commitment at 0.7 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE), equating to 26.6 hours per week. This structure allows for flexibility while still offering the potential for a longer-term engagement based on performance and organisational needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Accomplish strategic objectives by overseeing multiple project activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, partners, and vendors to develop and implement program initiatives
  • Develop and manage end-to-end prototypes, working closely with the team and vendors
  • Establish and manage a process for continuous improvement of prototypes with input from partners
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, identifying and mitigating key stakeholder risks and issues
  • Contribute to the overall RSTO strategy, including research, evaluation, and advocacy
  • Manage budgets for projects and ensure delivery against established business goals/objectives
  • Identify and address risks and opportunities across multiple projects
  • Contribute to administrative tasks and other project-related activities
